On Saturday, June 29, there will be a Behind the Scene Tour of Hanford Mills Museum as part of the Catskill Center's Member Program Series.
The tour will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and will be conducted by Hanford Mills Museum Executive Director Liz Callahan.
Participants will explore the operating Mill complex and learn about the restoration and operation of the Mill's renewable power generation equipment--including the water wheel, water turbine and steam power plant. The Museum operates an authentic water- and steam-powered historic site, inspiring audiences of all ages to explore connections among energy, technology, natural resources, and entrepreneurship in rural communities, with a focus on sustainable choices.
