Keep up with what’s going on at the Catskill Center and our Region!Education
The Catskill Center’s Education Program provides NYC and Catskill children and educators the tools they need to become stewards of our land, water, and cultural heritage. In the classroom and on the banks of our beautiful creeks, students learn indicators of a healthy ecosystem and activities that threaten water quality. As leaders in environmental and place-based education in the Catskill Mountain Region, we seek to educate, inspire and support Catskill residents in their exploration of our natural and cultural resources. Our education programs are the cornerstone of our work as an organization. The Catskill Center Education Program seeks to continually reinvent itself by reinvigorating our strong, tried-and-true programs while simultaneously innovating new, relevant and cutting edge experiences for people.
The Catskill Center’s program coordinates Green Connections, Watershed Forestry Institute for Teachers, and offers K-12 teachers curriculum modules on sustainability, environmental sciences, and Catskills history and culture.
