An Evening of Love for the Catskills

Friends of the Maurice D. Hinchey Catskill Interpretive Center (CIC), members of the Catskill Center, volunteers, friends and staff all recently enjoyed a fabulous evening of song, music, traditional drumming, local cuisine and libations, all to support the CIC at the recent Fall Gala.

On Sunday, October 9th, we gathered at the CIC to enjoy music by Thunderheart and Skye, remarks by Markley Boyer, who chairs the Catskill Center's board of directors, and Jeff Senterman, executive director for the Catskill Center.

Guests enjoyed a silent auction with gifts, services, art and more donated by regional businesses like Spruceton Inn.

Dining under the big tent guests sampled trout caviar from the Beaverkill Hatchery, local hard cider from Awestruck, and other fine foods from local caterer, Mary's Cookin' Again.

Some of the delicious local cuisine enjoyed by guests at the CIC Fall Gala.

Accompanying the fine foods were beautiful flowers sourced, grown and arranged locally by Bobolink Flowers.

The evening reached a crescendo with beautiful traditional Native American drumming by Thunderheart.  Afterwards the band Skye played beautiful Celtic cello arrangements.
