Live Chat / Q+A / Leslie Sharpe

THE CATSKILLS VIRTUAL BOOK TOUR CELEBRATES CONTEMPORARY CATSKILLS WRITING THROUGH EXCLUSIVE AUTHOR INTERVIEWS AND ENCOURAGES PEOPLE TO SUPPORT LOCAL WRITERS AND INDEPENDENT BOOKSELLERS.

GET READY TO FIND YOUR NEXT GREAT CATSKILLS READ.

I grew up in the Catskills, moved away as an adult, and then came back in 2018. My mom bought me a copy of The Quarry Fox and Other Critters of the Wild Catskills as a welcome home present. It was a fitting gift because Leslie Sharpe’s descriptions of the wildlife she watches around her western Catskills home feel familiar to me, as they likely will for anyone who has spent a lot of time in this region. Leslie’s prose, however, makes these observations sing. As you follow her through the distinct swings of the Catskills seasons, you’ll gain a greater appreciation for the creatures whose mountain homes we inhabit.
