August 21, 2018 ARKVILLE, NY —  The land trust accreditation program recognizes land conservation organizations that meet national quality standards for protecting important natural places and working lands forever. The Catskill Center is pleased to announce it is applying for accreditation. A public comment period is now open.

The Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, conducts an extensive review of each applicant’s policies and programs.

"As a land trust and a not-for-profit organization that works across the Catskills region, the Catskill Center looks forward to accreditation as a means to improve how we do our conservation work throughout the Catskills. We wish to build on our rich history of land conservation by making sure that our future work meets the rigorous accreditation standards moving ahead." ~ Jeff Senterman, Executive Director
