We Urge NYS to Increase Catskills Visitor Center Funding and Keep It as a Line Item
We want to see funding increased for the Catskills Visitor Center by $50,000 to $200,000 in Governor Kathy Hochul’s Executive Budget proposal AND have it remain a line item in the Environmental Protection Fund (EPF). Here's why it’s important to keep this funding as an EPF line item.
Read our letter to Governor Hochul here. Contact her office at 518-474-8390 and ask her to support increased funding for the Catskills Visitor Center as an EPF line item.
As our letter says, it is important that support be a line item directed to the Catskill Center for Conservation and Development specifically and that State funding be increased to account for calls for increased investments at the Visitor Center and to address increasing operational costs.
The Catskills Visitor Center is the only official visitor center for the Catskill Park.
