the 5th annual HIKE FOR THE CATSKILLS seeks to raise funds that sustain the catskill center programs and mission to protect and preserve the catskills.
AND You're invited TO JOIN!
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help us protect and preserve the Catskills. All proceeds go toward advancing the work of the Catskill Center.
The Catskill Center’s 5th annual Hike for the Catskills is a month-long fundraising event held each August. This hike-a-thon-style event was created to promote an appreciation for the outdoors while raising funds to support the Catskill Center’s mission to protect and preserve the Catskills
This event is meant for everyone! From complete beginners to expert-level hikers, all are welcome to register. Choose your own hiking goal based on your experience and availability. Plus, you don't have to hike in the Catskills to hike for the Catskills!
You can support Hike for the Catskills by signing up to fundraise for the Catskill Center as an individual or on a team! We make it easy to meet your hiking goals by offering guided hikes throughout August. Or, if you don't have time to fundraise this time around, your donations also have twice the impact thanks to a generous matching grant.
how to participate
fundraise:
Register as an individual or part of a team. Share your personal fundraising page with friends, family, and colleagues asking them to sponsor your hiking goals to benefit the Catskill Center’s work. We suggest setting a personalized corresponding hiking and fundraising goal.
To get started, visit the campaign page and click "Register.” You will have the option to join a team, or, if you want to fundraise as an individual, you can create your own team.
There is a $25 minimum donation amount with registration. Your $25 donation jump-starts your fundraising—then share your story & hikes to rally your supporters and watch your impact grow!
Plus, all donations will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $4,000 thanks to a generous grant from the O'Connor foundation! These funds will help support responsible recreation and outdoor education in the Catskills.
hike:
Participate as a team or individual, attend our guided hikes, or map out your own journey. Rallying your supporters to donate in honor of your hiking challenge makes you a part of Hike for the Catskills.
You don’t have to be a fundraiser to hike for the Catskills! Grab some friends and join us for a guided hike. For a full schedule of guided hikes, visit our event pages. To register for a guided hike click on HIKE & DONATE on the campaign page.

When you donate, you will receive an exclusive Hike For The Catskills 2025 sticker, featuring the work of Nicole Caputo!
This year, you can also show your support for Hike for the Catskills with an exclusive event t-shirt featuring Nicole's design!
