Discovery Walk: Animal Tracks and Traces

  • Congressman Maurice D. Hinchey Catskills Visitor Center 5096 New York 28 Mount Tremper, NY, 12457 United States (map)

Animals like bobcats, fishers, and bears leave tracks and traces if only we have the knowledge to see them! Join us for our first Discovery Walk of spring with NYSDEC Wildlife Technician Emily Carrollo, as she takes us on a walk to spot and identify Catskills wildlife. Come to learn some helpful tips to continue identifying animals whether you’re at home in your backyard or out on the trails in the Catskill Park.

All ages and abilities are welcome! This program was originally scheduled for Friday, April 5th but has been rescheduled to Saturday, April 13th based on weather.

Discovery Walks is a new outdoor program of the Catskills Visitor Center (5096 State Route 28, Mt. Tremper, NY 12457), happening once per month throughout the year. Spend time on our beautiful nature trails learning about a specific topic and meeting new people in the Catskills community. Open to all ages and experience levels! Keep an eye on our website or Facebook page for more information on upcoming Discovery Walks.

If you have any questions leading up to the event e-mail Olivia Bernard at obernard@catskillcenter.org or call at (845) 688-3369.
