A fun-filled day of outdoor demonstrations, walks and talks for Outdoors Day 2021. Don’t forget to preregister! The event is organized annually by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, in partnership with the Catskill Center.

The Catskills Visitor Center's Upper Esopus Fire Tower will be open all day, and all Outdoors Day participants will receive a small backpack with outdoor giveaways!

There will be NYSDEC staff, New York State licensed outdoor guides, and Catskill Center staff hosting the following events:

10am-11:30am Map and Compass Navigation

10am-11:30am Introduction to Outdoor Photography

10am-3pm Archery throughout the day

12pm-1pm Leave No Trace Discussion and Q&A

1pm-2:30pm How to Pack a Backpack and Set up a Campsite
