We are pleased to announce that the Catskills Great Outdoor Expo will take place on June 11, 2022 from 10am - 3pm. We will be hosting the Expo at the Congressman Maurice D. Hinchey Catskills Visitor Center in Mount Tremper, NY.
The Catskills Great Outdoor Expo features the best the Catskills have to offer in hiking, paddling, bicycling, and other outdoor recreation activities. The one-day Expo will be filled with dozens of exhibitors from the outdoor tourism industry and nonprofits in the Catskills. There will be activities for all ages, food, presentations, raffle prizes, and the Catskills Great Outdoor Gear Sale.
This year Catskill Center is combining its annual event the Catskills Great Outdoor Expo with the DEC’s Get Outdoors & Get Together Day. Join us this Saturday, June 11th for a full line-up of great programs:
Archery with DEC Instructors from 10am to 2pm - sign up in advance here, same day registration also available
Birdwatching Walk with John Burroughs Natural History Society and Visitor Center staff from 10:30am to 12pm - advance registration not required, binoculars available to borrow, meet in front of the Visitor Center
Leave No Trace Talk with the Catskill Stewards from 10:30am to 11am - learn about Leave No Trace best practices for whenenver you go outdoors! Please meet under the Pavilion
Outdoor Yoga with Pamela Martin from 11am to 12pm - advance registration not required, some yoga mats available to borrow, all levels of experience welcome
Boat Cleaning Demonstrations with Aquatics Invasives Manager Sara Coney from 11:30 to 12:30 - please meet under the Pavilion
Home Buying Basics with Coldwell Banker from 12 to 12:30 - please meet under the Pavilion
Birds of Prey Live Raptor Show with Bill Robinson from 12:30pm to 1:30pm - registration not required, please meet under the Pavilion
Talk with Alan Via local author of the books Doghiker and the Catskill 67 from 2pm to 3pm - registration not required, please meet under the Pavilion
Activities and games set up for kids, families, and adults - All day from 10am to 3pm
