Join a Catskill Center Steward for a hike to the Overlook Mountain Fire Tower while getting one step closer to completing the 2025 Fire Tower Challenge.

Details about parking and meeting time will be provided once you’ve registered. This is a moderate hike that is about 5 miles out and back to the fire tower. The hike will take approximately 2 hours to the top with a few breaks in between to hydrate and catch up on some of the history of Overlook Mountain, and the fire towers in the Catskills. The guided portion of the hike will conclude at the top of the mountain where hikers are invited to climb the fire tower and make their way back down at their own leisure. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring water.
