Join us for a uniquely local dining experience at the Catskills Visitor Center in Mt. Tremper, NY, on July 18. This multiple-course feast, creatively conceived and prepared by Chef Rob Handel, will feature locally farmed and wild foraged ingredients from across the Catskills. Indulge in the rich, natural flavors of the region with each thoughtfully crafted dish surrounded by the beauty of the Catskills under our outdoor picnic pavilion.

Menu Highlights:

Appetizer:

  • Wild Mushroom Gnocchi: housemade gnocchi, wild mushroom ragu, milkweed capers, shaved pecorino (gf/veg option w/o pecorino)

Soup:

  • Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho: Chilled soup with heirloom tomatoes, pickled knotweed shoots, wild thyme blossoms, popped garlic mustard seeds (gf/vegan)

Entree:

  • Smoky Short Ribs: beef short ribs slow cooked over wild grapevines and glazed with our own maple syrup and sassafras, ramp polenta cakes, blistered farmstead vegetables (gf)

  • Ramp Polenta Cakes: Pan-fried Farmer Ground corn and ramp polenta cakes, eggplant caponata with milkweed capers, wild greens pesto (gf/vegan)

Dessert:

  • Coconut Sticky Rice Pudding: with spicebush nectarines (gf/vegan)

Guests are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 pm to enjoy beer, wine, and mocktails under the pavilion. Dinner seating will begin promptly at 7:00 pm, so we ask that you please arrive no later than 6:45 pm to ensure all guests are able to enjoy the full experience.

Pricing: $125 per person (includes gratuity)
