Geared toward adults but open to all ages, this month's Discovery Walk is all about map & compass basics. If you like to hike or just have an interest in maps and navigation, this will be a great opportunity to go over the basics and to practice compass skills out on the trail.
Some compasses will be provided to share, however if you have your own please bring it with you! Map print-outs provided. Rain or shine.
Discovery Walks are a new winter program at the Catskill Interpretive Center, happening on the first weekend of each month throughout the season. Spend time outdoors on our beautiful nature trails learning about a specific topic and meeting new people in the Catskill community. Open to all ages and experience levels! Keep an eye on our website or Facebook page for more information on upcoming Discovery Walks.
