Join the Catskill Center on Thursday, December 3rd at 5:00pm for a one hour long presentation via Zoom about the findings, and the season in summary of the Catskill Stewards Program. This presentation will speak to the high use found across the Catskills during the 2020 summer season. Registration is required for this free event.

Peekamoose Blue Hole; Leave No Trace Hot Spot Re-Visit

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be visiting the Catskills for a follow up visit to the Peekamoose Blue Hole. In 2017 the traveling trainers came to the area, inspiring new programs such as the Peekamoose Blue Hole Stewardship Program. Now, they return to provide free Leave No Trace education, take note on area progress, and further consultation for the area.

On October 6th, we will be repairing the fence that has protected our future hemlock hedge from deer herbivory. Come help us protect the hemlocks, and learn about the invasive species that are spreading throughout the Catskills, as well as what you can do to help keep your hemlocks alive.
