New Development Associate Brit Hotaling

January 11th, 2016 - ARKVILLE, New York---The Catskill Center announced today the appointment of Brit Hotaling to the position of Development Associate. One of Brit’s main responsibilities will be the research, development, and implementation of a new grant tracking system for the Center.

"I'm very excited to welcome Brit to our team here at the Catskill Center" said Jeff Senterman, Executive Director of the Catskill Center, "she will bring a new perspective to our team and I look forward to her assistance with grant writing, events, communications and more here at the Center."

Brit has a strong interest in environmental issues and previously served as an AmeriCorps VISTA assigned to Schoharie Area Long Term (SALT), a disaster relief nonprofit coordinating fundraising events in order to further SALT’s long term goals of economic and community renewal in Schoharie County- wholeheartedly believing that the more community gatherings, the stronger the community. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from SUNY Oneonta and as an avid appreciator of local talent and music, she also hosts a weekly radio program on WIOX Community Radio every Sunday from 3-5pm entitled “Grassroots,” which frequently features live performances by local acts. The spirit of building and sustaining building relationships within each community is something that Brit sees as being very important, so she will be making various appearances at as many community events as possible.

Brit says: “I very much look forward to helping the Catskill Center move forward in all of their continuing endeavors, towards an innovative and pragmatic future.”
