Colors of the Catskills: A Photography Program with Francis X. Driscoll will be held on Saturday, October 13, at 7:00 PM at the Catskill Interpretive Center in Mount Tremper, New York. This special presentation is open to the public and is free of charge.

Renowned photographer Francis X. Driscoll will share some of his best moments in the Catskills and explain the creative process behind his work.

Catskill Center and DEP Announce First Land Preserved Through Streamside Acquisition Program

The Catskill Center and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) today announced the purchase of a 2-acre parcel of land in Greene County – the very first to be protected under a new program that preserves environmentally sensitive lands alongside streams, creeks and rivers. The Streamside Acquisition Program is managed by the Catskill Center and funded by DEP. The program focuses on preserving lands that are adjacent to streams that feed the City’s reservoir system in the Catskills.

DEC Deputy Commissioner Honored at Catskill Center’s Summer Gathering

July 18, 2017: The Catskill Center for Conservation and Development honored Kathy Moser, Deputy Commissioner of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, with the Alf Evers Award for Excellence during their 2017 Summer Gathering. Ms. Moser was given the Catskill Center’s most prestigious award for her outstanding work to advance outdoor recreation opportunities and communities in Catskill Park.
