Learn to recognize Mile-A-Minute / a hands-on experience

  • Catskill Interpretive Center 5096 New York 28 Mount Tremper, NY, 12457 United States (map)

Mile-a-minute is a highly aggressive invasive climbing vine native to Asia that can shade out and smother native plants. It has recently been found for the first time in Woodstock, NY.

Come learn about identification and best practices for management of Mile-a-Minute. We will learn about the biology and best management of this plant. Afterwards, we'll get hands-on experience with this vine in a group survey and pull on a nearby property.

This training is a precursor to a Mile-a-Minute survey in the Kenneth Wilson state campground nearby, to help prevent this invasive vine from spreading through the region.
