Catskills Art Club Meetup at the Ice Harvest Festival

  • Hanford Mills Museum 51 County Highway 12 East Meredith, NY 13757 United States (map)

The February Catskills Art Club meetup will be Saturday, February 2 at the Hanford Mills Museum's Ice Harvest Festival in East Meredith, NY. There will be lots of activities for the whole family - try your hand at ice harvesting and make a sketch to document the fun! Find the Catskill Center table at the Festival anytime between 10 and 3 to learn more about how to make your own art that day and where future Catskills Art Club meetups will take place. Learn more about the Ice Harvest Festival here: https://www.hanfordmills.org/programs/events/ice-harvest/

Please note that attending this event does require purchasing a Hanford Mills Museum admission ticket - children under 12 years old and museum members are free. Visit the above link for more details. There is no additional cost to participate in the Art Club.

The Catskills Art Club is a fun way to explore the Catskills, meet new friends, and make some amazing art. The Catskills Art Club will meet at a different location each month to draw, paint, sketch, or sculpt what we see around us. There are no workshops or formal lessons at Catskills Art Club meetups, just a casual get-together of people who want to create and chat. This is a special drop-in event to introduce the Art Club to the community - future meetups will generally be about two hours, and (with the exception of occasional special events like the Ice Harvest Festival) there will not be any cost to participate - though donations are always welcome to support the programs of the Catskill Interpretive Center. The Catskills Art Club is open to all ages, so you can bring the entire family (minors must be accompanied by an adult). People of all artistic experience and ability are welcome. There is no commitment and no pressure to share your work - just come and have fun. Bring your favorite art supplies and get inspired.

The Catskill Center for Conservation and Development is celebrating its 50th birthday this year. Come enjoy this program and other events throughout the year to help us celebrate and share our love of the Catskills. Catskills Art Club is presented by the Catskill Interpretive Center, a program of the Catskill Center for Conservation and Development nonprofit organization.
