Public Event at Catskill Center to Address Climate Change and How to Solve It
New Yorkers are feeling the effects of climate change now. For some, climate change is a business, environmental or public-health concern. Others ponder the implications of a warming world for their children and the world’s most vulnerable populations. Many of us are wondering “Why Is climate action urgent?” and “What can I do?”

The Catskill Center announced the appointment of Markley Boyer to Chair, at its most recent meeting of the Board of Directors. The Catskill Center is pleased to announce a Call for Art for sculpture which will be displayed at the outdoor sculpture park at the Maurice D. Hinchey Catskill Interpretive Center (CIC), located on Route 28. Art selected by the jury will be on display for one year beginning in early July.

Platte Clove Artist in Residence Program Accepting Applications
The Catskill Center is accepting application for the 2016 Platte Clove Artist-in-Residence Program. Applications are due by Friday, April 8, 2016. The residency, the only one in the country situated in the historic landscapes which were the inspiration for the Hudson River School, provides a tranquil and rustic workplace. A retreat for artists, working in a variety of disciplines, located in the living landscape where American art began.
